An authentic life embraces people, places and things aligned with our true nature and unique frequency. We sense when we meet someone or find ourselves in a situation that is in vibrational alignment with us. It feels natural, harmonic and easy to just be yourself. Being attuned to your environment allows you to make adjustments when you sense the energy around you to be discordant so that you can clear your field of negativity and keep your frequency high.
When you feel fear, worry, despair or any uncomfortable emotion shift your thoughts immediately to something that you are truly grateful. Take a moment to feel blessed as you take a couple of relaxing breaths. Then return to your day refreshed. The more you are able to shift into gratitude the more positive events will occur in your life. Why not give it a try right now? What are you grateful for?
Many studies have shown that the highest states of awareness as measured in brain and heart waves are gratitude, love, compassion, appreciation, and awe of something that stirs the soul. When annoying patterns of negative thought persist take some time in quietude to reflect on your beliefs. The famous quote below shows a transition from our beliefs to our destiny.
Our beliefs become our thoughts
Our thoughts become our words
Our words become our actions
Our actions become our character
Our character becomes our destiny.
~ Mahatma Gandhi
So if the core of our reality lies in our beliefs. Where did our beliefs come from? Some are forgotten words from our parents, friends or family and colleagues that influenced and shaped who we are intermingled with our own inner essence. While other beliefs have been emblazoned on our souls, leaving deep wounds. Negative imprints from our past experiences lower our frequency. A lower frequency can build up over time and lead to anxiety, despair, depression, irritability and lack of passion for life. In the case study below a man reconnects with his inner nature to identify his core beliefs that were affecting his health.
Case Study
A man came to see me who was experiencing severe symptoms from an autoimmune disease and was searching for why this was happening to them. He wanted to be his old self, energetic, athletic, contributing at work, building his career and seeking a meaningful relationship. He described his life as being on hold and dreaded living a life in and out of the hospital and in pain with no energy. He was losing his life force. Something was eating at him from the inside. Over time his life force had shifted to a seriously low vibration that put his day-to-day life, career and future at risk. He wanted to turn his life around.
A journey to understand his core beliefs was terrifying for him. He feared what he would find as a veteran from many military deployments, divorce and illness. He shared that men and women in the military are often asked to do the unthinkable in the name of survival and to advance a cause. His actions lay deep within the cells of his body. There were individuals who wanted to kill him too and a film of fear remained in his energy field, although he was home. He needed to find courage deep within his soul.
In the course of a healing energy session the subconscious mind is more accessible to the conscious mind. During a session his inner child reminded him of his core beliefs and how his life choices were not what he had hoped they would be. Deep inside his subconscious he was confronted with a truth that he hated his life. Through an inner dialogue and release of negative energy in his field he was able to reconnect with his inner child that loved to play and dream. He was able to engage his inner child to resolve core issues behind his choices, find self-forgiveness and gain acceptance of his life.
A simple connection to his true self became a powerful part of his healing. Once the overwhelming negative emotions were released the memories of wonderful events in his life swelled to the surface. He was able to reprogram his state of awareness to focus on the present, release past emotions and replace the low vibrations with memories of good times providing a foundation for his next steps. Perhaps the autoimmune disease was his soul trying to get his attention.
The past cannot be changed. Buddha said that everything in the past is an illusion. Our memories help us to learn about who we really are. How we interpret and respond to people, situations and life events tell us about who we are. We are meant to learn and move on to live a fuller life than would have been possible before. Although easier said than done.
Being thankful for our lessons even the ones that brought us to our knees takes courage, perseverance, commitment and love for oneself. Try to shift to a more positive state of mind when the negative creeps in. The more you are able to shift to the present moment and relax and breathe in the air available to you today the less you will need to because you will already be in coherence. Coherence is an energetic state where your mind, body, spirit and emotions are aligned with your true nature, a state of peace.
In my next blog I will give you an exercise to create coherence so that you can experience more peace in your life.
